Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is currently looking for a WASH/Shelter/NFI Officer to join the team in Mykolaiv office, Ukraine.

About PAH:
Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international non-governmental organization which since 1992 has been providing humanitarian and development help worldwide. So far, the interventions have been carried out in 46 different countries. By possessing long-standing expertise in the implementation of projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Food Security and Livelihoods, as well as Nutrition and Education, PAH concentrates its global activities on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering from the consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises.
PAH has been present in Ukraine since August 2014 delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable of the conflict-affected population. PAH provides assistance to internally displaced people, elderly and single mothers, working in the sectors of food security protection and livelihoods. PAH Ukraine is currently expanding programming from humanitarian to both early recovery and development-oriented interventions that provide sustainable livelihoods opportunities to the affected population.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee implementation of WASH, Shelter and NFI activities carried out both directly and through implementing partners across PAH operational areas;
- Supervise, support and coordinate the work of a minimum of five implementing partners, ensuring activities are implemented in line with project plans, technical standards and donor requirements;
- Provide technical guidance to partners on beneficiary targeting, registration and verification processes;
- Review and support development of BoQs and technical specifications for WASH and Shelter/NFI repair and rehabilitation activities implemented both directly and by partners;
- Provide continuous technical support and quality assurance to partner teams to ensure effective and timely implementation;
- Support partners in organizing beneficiary registration and selection processes using KoboCollect or similar tools;
- Coordinate planning and implementation of WASH/Shelter/NFI activities with partners and relevant PAH program teams;
- Monitor partners’ implementation progress and provide regular feedback and recommendations to project management;
- Participate in needs assessments in project operational areas together with partners;
- Maintain regular coordination with implementing partners, local authorities, institutions and affected communities;
- Ensure proper collection, review and archiving of project documentation and reports submitted by partners
The successful candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or architecture or any other relevant area.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction humanitarian assistance.
- Experience working with documentation (storing, managing etc.)
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, implement, and monitor activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with team members, partners, and local stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards and policies related to emergency response and humanitarian assistance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
- Fluency in English will be an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel
