Project HOPE in Ukraine Private Funded Program Portfolio is focused on next major components:
- Equipment, Pharma, Medical Supply for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary health facilities
- Capacity building for the health care workers including specialized training programs
- Support in renovation of Health care facilities and other crucial community facilities to strengthen community resilience and decrease workload on other health facilities
- Improving IPC/WASH standards within Health Facilities and facilities serving affected population - Supporting establishment of Mobile Medical Units with Ukraine Health system to establish better access to healthcare services to affected populations and vulnerable groups
- Strengthening community cohesion and resilience with big influx of IDPs
- MHPSS support to health care workers and affected population and vulnerable groups
- Emergency Response to healthcare needs in case of crisis escalation.
The Program Manager is responsible to organize program management processes and documents according to the best program management practices ensuring the success of his/her designated projects and initiatives related to humanitarian sectors and standards
Travel required up to 50% of the time
Main Responsibilities:
- The Program Manager in Ukraine provides operational support in the project related to humanitarian aid, monitoring & evaluation, and technical support to health programs to improve the quality and effectiveness of field programs focused on several oblasts of Ukraine.
- The incumbent works closely with field personnel, with periodic travel around the Ukraine.
- Professional experience in implementing donor-funded projects and strong management experience, with preference for USAID funded donor experience.
- Ensuring project is sharply focused on programming goals and essential communications with key stakeholders are actively managed.
- Build partnerships and connections with stakeholders (Health facilities, Government officials, local NGOs) for effective program implementation and development
- Work closely with a range of stakeholders, establish partnerships, disseminate complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Make informed, timely and effective decisions with minimal guidance, distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information, and consulting with others when appropriate.
- Monitor and report program progress within the agreed timeframes and to the organization's standards.
- Collect, analyze and maintain data and information, compiling high quality reports for senior staff.
- Develop and draft report language under the direction of the Program Manager/Head of the department
- Work flexibly and well under pressure by planning and organizing workloads.
- Other duties as assigned. Lead on scheduling, administration and noting of a range of project meetings.
- Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other staff members characterized by trust, mutual respect, and open, honest communication.
Educational background: Master’s Degree in Public Health, International Development, or related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in working and negotiating with Corporate Donors and International Charitable Foundations is highly desirable
- Experience in data collection, conversion and analysis is highly preferred.
IT Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel (advanced skills)
- Proficiency with computers both in word processing and data gathering spreadsheet programs, with presentation and report writing capability
Language Skills :
- Ukrainian – fluent
- Fluency in English and excellent writing skills are required. Minimum English requirement: B2/C1
