
Position Summary
Momentum Wheels for Humanity, with the support of the U.S. Government, implements the "Rehab4U" project in Ukraine. The primary objective of the project is to strengthen and expand access to quality rehabilitation services as an integral component of the national health system. This initiative addresses both pre-existing gaps and the increased demand for multidisciplinary rehabilitation caused by the ongoing war. Rehab4U supports the restoration of health services while advancing sustainable infrastructure, assistive technologies, and a skilled rehabilitation workforce.
Within this framework, the Communications Coordinator (Communications Advisor to the Head of the Institution) plays a key role in ensuring effective internal and external communications, maintaining visibility of project activities, and strengthening stakeholder engagement at all levels.
Full-time, office-based position in Kyiv (physical presence in the office is required)
Consultancy Description
The Communications Coordinator will provide professional support to the Head of the Institution in the development and implementation of communication strategies. The role involves ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication with stakeholders, partners, and the public.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Institution in strategic communications.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate official correspondence, press releases, speeches, talking points, and other communications materials.
- Accompany the institution's management on business trips within Ukraine
- Coordinate media engagement, press briefings, and public outreach activities in collaboration with institutional and external partners.
- Manage social media accounts and ensure regular, high-quality content related to the project’s progress and impact.
- Assist in the planning and communication of project events, such as forums, workshops, or community meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date stakeholder contact lists and support stakeholder engagement processes.
- Track and monitor communication outputs and prepare monthly reports.
- Liaise with the project team, government stakeholders, international partners, and civil society organizations to ensure coordinated messaging.
- Support documentation and promotion of best practices and success stories from the project.
Expected Deliverables
- Monthly communication reports (progress, reach, and outcomes).
- Drafted and finalized communication materials (e.g., briefs, press releases, social media content).
- Media and event coordination plans and documentation.
- Stakeholder engagement records and communication logs.
- Contribution to project visibility materials (infographics, presentations, human stories).
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in communications in the public or international development sector.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in Ukrainian.
- Experience with social media management and digital communication tools.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
