
Position Summary
The Assistive Technology Room Trainer / Service Provider will provide technical support to project team in building the capacity of rehabilitation service providers for strengthen the functining of Assistive Technology Room in healthcare facilities. This role focuses on improving the knowledge, skills, understanding and capacity of rehabilitation service providers regarding the organization and functioning of the Assistive Technology Rooms, as well as standardization of their work in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistive Technology Technical Consultant, the Assistive Technology Room Trainer / Service Provider will have the following responsibilities:
In close cooperation with project staff develop training materials (curricula, PowerPoint presentations, supporting materials, case studies etc) for improve knowledge and skills of rehabilitation service providers on Assitive Techology Room functining.
Together with project representatives/other trainers, train rehabilitation service providers by conducting up to eight (8) training sessions based on pre-developed training materials using interactive adult learning methodologies.
Ensure that the educational content of the trainings covers clinical aspects of the functioning of Assistive Technology Rooms in compliance with existing regulations.
Share practical experience in operating an Assistive Technology Room, including implementing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Facilitate practical sessions focusing on case reviews, clinical problem-solving, and practical mentoring.
Share experience in implementing SOP to streamline Assistive Technology Room functioning.
Support training participants in strengthening access to assistive technology using best practices of service delivery.
Share practical experience in prescribing assistive products and cooperation with social services in their receiving.
Work closely with project representatives on planning and conducting educational activities, including communication and necessary logistical components.
Prepare a post-event report, which includes but limited with recommendations for improving the training program, results of delivered training etc.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Professional background as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or other rehabilitation specialist with at least 3 years of clinical experience in provision of assistive products.
Experience in the field of assistive technologies, in particular in the functioning of the Assistive Technology Room.
Knowledge and understanding of the role and functions assigned to the Assistive Technology Room.
Work in an institution in which an Assistive Technology Room operates.
Work in an institution in which a standard operating procedure has been developed and implemented for the unification of the workflow of the Assistive Technologies Room.
Previous experience in conducting trainings or other educational events for adults.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively in a team.
Fluency in Ukrainian.
